Access and Linkage by Data Source

States report on the capacity of the Title V program to consistently access health data sources to support planning, monitoring, and evaluation. States track access to data from Vital Records (birth and death), Medicaid, Newborn Screening (bloodspot and hearing), Hospital Discharge, Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS) or a similar state PRAMS-like System, and Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC).

The map and bar graph below display the number of states that have consistent annual access and electronic access to these key MCH data sources, as well as the number of states that link these data to Vital Records Birth.
